There are a thousand things

I wish I'd said to you

I keep them in a box

Underneath my bed

Little folded pages

Full of words I never said

Some begin with "Dear..."

Some don't know where to end

All these little letters

I never dared to send

Sometimes I imagine

They could learn to fly

Past my little window
