What size and format is the cover?
Suno generates one square cover per song and serves it as a JPEG (sometimes PNG) through its image CDN. The tool fetches the largest variant that exists for the song rather than the thumbnail shown in the library grid, so you get the same file the song page uses for its hero image — typically 1024×1024 or larger. Nothing is re-compressed; you receive the original bytes with the song title as the filename.
Common uses
- Tagging your own files. Embed it as the album art in the MP3 or WAV you downloaded so it shows up in players and car displays.
- Video thumbnails and lyric videos. A square 1024 px image upscales cleanly for a 1080p canvas.
- Playlist and profile art. Keep a matching visual when you move a song to another platform.
Rights and limits
Cover images are generated for the song's creator. Save your own artwork freely; treat other people's covers like any other image and ask before reusing them publicly. Only public songs can be read — the tool never signs in to Suno and cannot see private tracks. Cover and lyrics downloads are unlimited and do not count against the daily audio quota.

Does downloading cover art use my daily quota?

Why is the image smaller than I expected?
Some older songs only have a smaller cover stored on Suno's side. The tool always fetches the largest that exists; it does not upscale.
