How to Download Suno Songs: The Official Way and Public-Link Tools
Two ways to get a Suno song onto your device in 2026 — Suno's own Download button (with its new per-plan limits and commercial rights) and public-link tools like this one. What each gives you, step by step.
There are two honest answers to “how do I download a Suno song?” in 2026, and they are not interchangeable. One is Suno’s own Download button, which now comes with a per-plan quota and is the only route that grants commercial rights. The other is a public-link tool such as this one, which reads a song’s public page and saves the audio without touching your Suno account.
This guide walks through both, explains when each makes sense, and points out the traps.
Option 1: Suno’s official Download button
Use this when the song is yours, you’re on a paid plan, and you might release or license the track.
Steps (desktop)
- Open suno.com and go to Library.
- Hover the song and click the ⋯ button at the right end of the row.
- Click Download.
- In the dialog, pick a format, then click Unlock & Download.
What you get
- Formats: M4A, MP3, WAV, an MP4 video asset, and Stems & MIDI (paid plans, via Manage).
- One download per song. Grabbing the MP3 and later the WAV of the same song counts once. Re-downloads are free.
- Commercial rights, if you’re on Pro or Premier. Free-tier trial downloads are personal use only.
What it costs
Since September 3, 2026, Suno limits downloads: 7 lifetime on Free, 20 a month on Pro, 60 a month on Premier, with extra downloads available for purchase. We break the whole policy down in Suno’s New Download Limits Explained.
The Downloads counter in the dialog is your remaining allowance. If it reads 0, the button will push you to buy more or upgrade.
On mobile
The Suno app also has a Download option under each song’s menu. It follows the same quota and, in our experience, defaults to MP3. If you want WAV, do it from the desktop site.
Option 2: A public-link tool (like this one)
Use this when you have a public song link and want to preview the track or save the audio for personal use without spending an official download.
Steps
- Get the song’s link. Either copy it from the address bar on the song page, or use ⋯ → Share → Copy Link. Short
suno.com/s/…share links work too. (Full walkthrough: How to Find and Copy a Suno Song Link.) - Paste the link on the home page and click Parse track. You’ll see the cover, style tags, and lyrics within a second or two. No sign-in is needed for this step.
- Sign in with Google and click Download audio. You can also save the cover art and lyrics (.txt).
What you get
- The original audio stream Suno serves, which is M4A or WebM depending on the track. MP3 and WAV conversion is planned; it is not available yet.
- Cover art (JPG or PNG) and lyrics as a text file, which don’t count against this site’s own daily limit.
- A daily cap per signed-in account, shown on the home page.
What you don’t get
- Commercial rights. Suno’s terms attach those to the official download on a paid plan. A file saved from a public page is for personal use.
- Private songs. If a song isn’t published, its public page doesn’t exist and the tool has nothing to read. Freshly generated tracks are private until you click Publish.
- WAV, stems, or video. Only what the public page streams.

Which one should you use?
- You made the song and plan to release it — official Download, on a paid plan. It’s the only route that comes with rights.
- You want a quick personal copy or a preview of a public track — a public-link tool is faster and doesn’t touch your quota.
- You’re on Free and have used your 7 trial downloads — you can still stream and share on Suno without limit, and public-link tools still work for public songs. For anything commercial, you’ll need to upgrade.
Common problems
“This share link doesn’t point to a public song.” The track is private or was deleted. If it’s yours, open the ⋯ menu on suno.com and click Publish, then try again.
The official dialog says Downloads: 0. You’ve used your allowance for the period. Pro and Premier reset on the billing date; Free trial downloads don’t reset. Extra downloads can be purchased.
I need an MP3 but the tool gave me M4A. The public stream is M4A/WebM. MP3 and WAV conversion is planned. Until then, convert the file locally, or use Suno’s official download and pick MP3. Almost every player and editor opens M4A directly.
Parsing fails on a link that worked yesterday. Suno occasionally rate-limits or changes endpoints. Wait a minute and retry. If it persists, check that the song is still public.
