Produce A Little Trouble

Clean up in produce, please

Verse

I was pushin' my cart down the produce aisle

A pretty young thing walked by and caught my eye

Made me think I oughta grab me some melons

I looked around to see what else they were sellin'

She walked by again, I turned around

That was the prettiest view in the whole damn town

The more I looked, juicy peaches crossed my mind

So I followed her around to see what else I'd find

Pre-Chorus

I oughta be headin' to the checkout line

But that knockout keeps on messin' with my mind

I tell myself it's about time to go

Then she turns around, and I move real slow!

Chorus

Well, she threw my whole day off track

Had me turnin' around, lookin' back

Forgot my list, forgot my plan

That woman made a mess of this man

I came for groceries, now look at me

Chasin' a smile I may never see

Tried playin' cool, but I couldn't stay subtle

That girl can-- PRODUCE A LITTLE TROUBLE!

Verse

Then she picked up a cucumber, gave it a stare

Turned it around, lookin' it over with care

I swallowed hard, felt my face turnin' red

Had a whole lotta thoughts bouncin' 'round my head

She checked that one, then reached for another

Lord, I wish I was that cucumber's brother

Chorus

Well, she threw my whole day off track

Had me turnin' around, lookin' back

Forgot my list, forgot my plan

That woman made a mess of this man

I came for groceries, now look at me

Chasin' a smile I may never see

Tried playin' cool, but I couldn't stay subtle

That girl can-- PRODUCE A LITTLE TROUBLE!

Bridge

She moved to the dairy, I headed that way

Forgot what I needed, forgot why I came

Picked up a carton, couldn't tell you why

Couldn't read a label if I had to try

She turned down an aisle, I followed her lead

Lookin' at things that I didn't need

An employee walked up and said with a grin,

"Can I help you find what you're lookin' for , friend?"

I said, "No thanks," tried playin' it cool

Just standin' there lookin' like a fool

She headed for the checkout, I thought, "Here goes!"

Then she walked right out, and I froze

My cart was still empty, cashier looked at me funny

Said, "Son, this ain't a dating service, honey!"

Chorus

Well, she threw my whole day off track

Had me turnin' around, lookin' back

Forgot my list, forgot my plan

That woman made a mess of this man

I came for groceries, now look at me

Chasin' a smile I may never see

Tried playin' cool, but I couldn't stay subtle

That girl can-- PRODUCE A LITTLE TROUBLE!
