Suno's 48-Hour Free v6: Zero Credits on Any Paid Plan

On September 10, 2026 Suno said v6 songs cost zero credits for 48 hours on any paid plan. Who it covers, what it does not change, and how to use the window before it closes.

Suno's 48-Hour Free v6: Zero Credits on Any Paid Plan

On September 10, 2026 Suno’s official account posted that v6 songs cost zero credits for the next 48 hours on any paid plan. The post is the whole announcement — there is no separate blog or FAQ for this window — so this article spells out what that sentence does and does not mean, and how it sits next to Suno’s download limits.

For the next 48 hours, v6 songs cost zero credits on any paid plan. Go explore what v6 can do.

The accompanying graphic says the same thing three ways: Limited time Credit-free v6 creation, 48 hours only, No credits required.

What is actually free

Generating a v6 song on a paid plan does not spend credits for the length of the offer. That is generation, not downloading.

Paid plans on Suno are Pro and Premier (including Premier with Studio). Free accounts are not paid plans, so they are outside this promo. Free users already generate on v6-mini, which is the free model in the v6 family.

Suno’s wording is “v6 songs”. It did not mention v6-wild or remixes, covers and extensions separately. If you are on Pro or Premier, pick v6 in the create UI and watch the credit meter: a generation that shows as free is in the promo; one that still deducts credits is not.

When it starts and ends

Suno posted the offer on September 10, 2026. “The next 48 hours” from that post runs through September 12, 2026. Suno did not publish a clock-time or timezone, so treat the in-app credit display as the source of truth. If a new v6 generation still costs credits, the window is over.

This is a short, one-off window. Nothing in the post says it will repeat.

Credits and downloads are different meters

This is the part that trips people up.

Credits (this promo) Downloads (unchanged)
What they meter Creating a new song Getting a file off Suno
This 48 hours v6 songs are free on paid plans Still 20/month on Pro, 60/month on Premier, 7 lifetime on Free
Commercial rights Not granted by generating Still attach only to an official download on a paid plan

Generating a hundred v6 tracks during the window does not spend download quota. Saving those tracks with Suno’s own Download button still does. The September 3 rules — one song counts once, re-downloads are free, stems are included — are unchanged. The numbers and the rights attachment are in Suno’s download limits explained.

How to use the window

  1. Sign in to suno.com on a Pro or Premier account.
  2. Open Create and select v6 (not v6-mini).
  3. Generate. Confirm the credit counter does not move.
  4. If you want a public page and share link, Publish the song from its ⋯ menu. Fresh songs are private until you do. How to find and copy a Suno song link shows where that is.

Use the time for volume you would not normally spend credits on: exploring prompts, comparing v6 to older takes, or filling out a batch of ideas. Surgical edits and mashups are still the features v6 was built for; the promo only changes the price of a generation.

Does this change anything about downloading?

No. The promo is on credits, not on files.

  • Suno’s Download button still spends your plan’s download allowance and is still the only route that grants commercial rights on a paid plan.
  • Public-link tools such as this one still read a published song page. They never sign in to Suno and never touch your credit or download meters. A v6 track generated during the window is downloadable here once it is public, the same as any other published song.
  • Private songs still have no public page. Publish first, or they cannot be read.

If you plan to release a track, spend one official download on it after you are happy with the take. Generating it for free does not substitute for that. The legal guide is unchanged.

Quick reference

  • What: v6 songs cost zero credits.
  • Who: any paid plan (Pro, Premier). Not Free.
  • When: 48 hours from Suno’s September 10, 2026 post, through about September 12. Watch the credit meter.
  • What it is not: free official downloads, commercial rights, or a change to public-link saving.
  • v6-mini: already free; this promo is not about it.
  • After the window: v6 generation goes back to costing credits as usual.

We’ll update the date at the top if Suno extends the window or publishes a fuller FAQ.
