Some People Swanflue x Lucy

Thank you to @SwanFlue|Shaolin for letting me remix his amazong track 🥰😍

Mm, funny little thing...

How people find people.

Some you forget.

Some you don't.

Met a few strangers

Who didn't stay strange

One little conversation

And something had changed

Wasn't looking for answers

Wasn't looking for much

Just another ordinary day

Till somebody showed up

Had my head full of nothing

And a notebook half-filled

Had a hundred little reasons

To leave everything still

Then somebody said something

Didn't even mean to

And a thought became a feeling

And a feeling became new

And they don't even know

What they started in me

One little moment

Made a whole lot of room to breathe

Some people, ooh, some people

Make you wanna try again

Some people, sweet little people

Turn a stranger to a friend

Got me singing in the kitchen

Got me writing things again

Funny how the right ones find you

When you don't know what you need

Some people, ooh, some people

Bring a little more of me

There's a girl who talks for hours

About the things she wants to make

And a boy who hears a melody

In every little mistake

Someone sends a photograph

Someone sends a song

Someone says, "I know that feeling"

And suddenly you're not alone

I've been stealing little pieces

Of the things that make them tick

Putting colours in my thinking

That I never would've picked

And I like the way it happens

Nothing planned or guaranteed

Just a room full of different minds

Making something out of me

Some people, ooh, some people

Make you wanna try again

Some people, sweet little people

Turn a stranger to a friend

Got me singing in the kitchen

Got me writing things again

Funny how the right ones find you

When you don't know what you need

Some people, ooh, some people

Bring a little more of me

And I don't need forever

I don't need a promise made

Some people come for moments

And leave something that stays

I used to think connection

Had to mean somebody stayed

Now I hear a little of them

In the music that I make

Got a little less afraid

Of showing what I've made

Used to keep the best bits hidden

In a folder with no name

Now I'm sending out the rough cuts

Letting people hear the cracks

And the ones who really get it

Send a little something back

Not everybody's meant to

Be a chapter in your life

Some are just a sentence

That you end up getting right

And I don't know where it's going

But I'm glad I came this way

There's a bit of everybody

In the things I make today

Some people, ooh, some people

Make you wanna try again

Some people, sweet little people

Turn a stranger to a friend

Got me singing in the kitchen

Got me writing things again

Funny how the right ones find you

When you don't know what you need

Some people, ooh, some people

Bring a little more of me

Mm, some people...

Didn't know I needed that.

Funny little thing...

How people find people.

And how they change you.
