Locket-

[Intro]

[Instrumental – bright jangly electric guitar, melodic bass, tight drums, 8 bars]

[Verse 1]

[Instrumental Break]

[Short guitar and bass melody, 4 bars]

[Verse 2]

[Chorus]

[Instrumental]

[Bright melodic guitar solo, playful bass movement, 8 bars]

[Verse 3]

[Outro]

[Instrumental – reprise of the intro melody, 8 bars, neat final chord]

English Translation

[Verse 1]

I watched an old movie

Two lovers in black and white

A little silver necklace

She treasured it so much

It swayed against her chest

She gently opened it

Inside was a picture of him

That was a long time ago

[Instrumental Break]

[Verse 2]

I wondered what it was called

So I looked it up — a locket

A little accent necklace

That’s what they call it

Well, surely this would suit you

I thought it would absolutely suit you

Why not try what they did in the movie?

So I went out to find one

[Chorus]

A little silver locket

If I gave this to you

Just like the girl in the movie

You’d put my picture inside

If you wore it around your neck

I think it would be simply wonderful

So I picked one out for you

[Instrumental]

[Verse 3]

You seemed so happy

When you accepted it

But you never wear it
