愛想よく、気を配り、誰からも感じよく見られる。今日も社会向けの笑顔は無事に営業終了。けれど、ひとりになれば、その表情は跡形もなく消えてしまう。鏡の中には、笑顔の理由さえ分からない自分がいる。好かれるためじゃない。ただ、嫌われずにいるための毎日。

Always polite, always considerate, always trying to leave a good impression. Another day, and my public smile has officially clocked out. But the moment I’m alone, that expression disappears without a trace. I look in the mirror and see someone who no longer knows why he smiles. It’s not about being liked. It’s just about making it through each day without being disliked.
