Style

Nu-metal, scooped guitar midrange and a dense, hard-hitting mix; 110 BPM with a forceful, fast-driving pulse; the user's recorded male voice crooning through high-octave jumps and alternating haunting growls; lead guitar solo intro opening into nine layered heavy guitars, two pounding drum kits, and three low interlocking bass guitars.

Lyrics

Epic guitar solo intro

Verse 1

The hall clock blinks red

My shadow feels wrong

The closet door creaks

And the silence is long

I tuck in my knees

Pull the blanket up high

But the dark by my bed

Keeps on watching my side

Pre-Chorus

If I close both my eyes

It gets closer somehow

Every little sound

Turns into a growl now

I try to be brave

I try to stay still

But the moon on the wall

Makes my heartbeat spill

Chorus

Be afraid tonight

Hold my hand real tight

Be afraid tonight

Till the daylight shines

Verse 2

The branches tap tap

On the window pane

Like a knuckle on wood

Like a name in the rain

My teddy stands guard

By the foot of my bed

But the dark has a way

Of getting inside my head

Pre-Chorus

If I close both my eyes

It gets closer somehow

Every little sound

Turns into a growl now

I try to be brave

I try to stay still

But the moon on the wall

Makes my heartbeat spill

Chorus

Be afraid tonight

Hold my hand real tight

Be afraid tonight

Till the daylight shines

Bridge

When the first bird calls

And the edges turn gold

I can laugh at the shapes

That were stealing my soul

But right now, right here

Let the covers close in

Let me borrow your strength

Till the morning begins

Epic guitar solo's

Final Chorus

Be afraid tonight

Hold my hand real tight

Be afraid tonight

Till the daylight shines

Be afraid tonight

Be afraid tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m scared, but I’m fine
