Style

Acoustic Alternative R&B, Neo-Soul, and timeless romantic ballad, Solo acoustic guitar as the only instrument, warm and intimate, with fingerpicked patterns and soft open strums, No drums, no synths, no modern pop polish, Breath-led soulful vocals, tender harmonies, gentle vocal layering, and natural room reverb, Slow-to-mid tempo, nostalgic, dreamy, and emotionally expansive, Minimalist but rich in feeling, with a poetic, eternal, late-night atmosphere

Lyrics

Verse

I used to see us in the lights of the Eiffel Tower

All of Paris was ours

I used to see us in the rooms of Versailles Palace

Before you called me your baby

Back in that lifetime

Yeah

We knew we'd be here in this one

Back in that lifetime

We knew we'd be here

Pre-Chorus

We knew we'd be here

Chorus

I knew you before I met you

Our souls were always connected

Don't you feel it?

I know you do

I loved you before I met you

There's a bond that we have to protect

And it's sacred

I know you do

Verse 2

There's somethin' familiar

Every moment I remember with you

It's like déjà vu

You feel like forever

And when I look in the mirror

I see us

I know we've been here before

Back in that lifetime

Yeah

We knew we'd be here in this one

Back in that lifetime

We knew we'd be here

Pre-Chorus

We knew we'd be here

Chorus

I knew you before I met you

Our souls were always connected

Don't you feel it?

I know you do

I loved you before I met you

There's a bond that we have to protect

And it's sacred

I know you do
