somehow we’d find the humor

right before the whole thing caught fire

you’ve seen me at my worst

and never needed me to hide it

i’ve watched you carry heavy days

then turn around and stand beside me

so when the words come easy

i know exactly where they came from

we’ve been living every lyric

long before i called it one
