#LoveAtFirstFright Challenge

------------------------------------

👉🏻 Pick an iconic horror villain and write them a LOVE SONG.

RULES:

1. Make us understand why this terrifying walking red flag is somehow your perfect romantic match.

2. It has to feel like a real love song made for that character.

Use their personality, lore, iconic moments, kills, weapons, habits, or anything recognizable about them and turn it into part of the romance.

-----------

ABOUT:

-----------

For the challenge, I decided to turn Freddy's most terrifying trait into the romance itself: he's quite literally the man of your dreams.

His dream-stalking lore, the warnings not to sleep, his blades, the marks he leaves, and the fact that everyone else sees him as a nightmare... well, none of that holds the same weight for someone who'd rather keep dreaming than wake up alone.

In other words, you know he’s dangerous, but after meeting him night after night, fear starts blurring into attraction. There’s this twisted Stockholm-syndrome quality to the song, because the very person you should be escaping from becomes the one you stay behind for.

LYRICS:

Don’t wake me…

(ouuu, oh)

Don’t wake me…

I’ve been sleeping through my days,

just to spend my nights with you(spend my nights with you)

Every night I lose myself,

but every morning I lose you(lose you...)

I should know better by now

I should run when you arrive

I should be afraid of you…

but(but, but).... that’s the part I like(that’s the part I like)

(I should stay awake)

I’d rather fall for you

(They call you nightmare)

I call you real and true

When I close my eyes

You’re the only thing I see

If loving you means dreaming

Please don’t wake me

Every night I find you

Every morning you’re gone

I’d rather dream dangerously

Than wake up alone

Man of my dreams

Man of my dreams

If loving you means dreaming

I’d rather dream dangerously

Man of my dreams

(Don't wake me)

If loving you means dreaming

I’d rather dream dangerously

They said don't, don't go to sleep

d-d-don’t go to sleep

They said don't, don't go to sleep

d-d-don’t go to sleep

They said don't go to sleep

I said, I'm going to sleep!

Mind your business

If Freddy wants me dreaming

Baby, let him finish(finish, finish)

(Don’t wake me...)

(Don’t wake me...)

(Don’t wake me...)

You always leave a mark

Love cuts deeper in your hands

Your touch comes with a warning

Your kiss comes with demands

You turn nightmares into foreplay

Make the terror feel like trust

You look like hell, darling....

So what I'm wondering...

Should I stay awake

(or do I fall for you?)

My friends call you a nightmare

(but I believe you're true)

When I close my eyes

You’re the only thing I see

If loving you means dreaming

Please don’t wake me

Every night I find you

Every morning you’re gone

I’d rather dream dangerously

Than wake up alone

Man of my dreams

Man of my dreams

If loving you means dreaming

I’d rather dream dangerously

Man of my dreams

(Don't wake me)

Man of my dreams

(Don't wake me...)

If loving you means dreaming(dr-dr-dreaming)

Don’t wake me

Don't wake me....

Don't wake me....!

I’d rather dream dangerously

Than wake up alone

Man of my dreams(ahh)

Man of my dreams

If loving you means dreaming

Don't wake me

(Don't wake me...!)

When I close my eyes

You’re the only thing I see

If loving you means dreaming

Please don’t wake me

Don't wake me....

(ouuuu)

Man of my dreams

Man of my dreams

(Don't wake me)
